Cwic means "life" in Anglo-saxon and hence the name we put to this tree which represents itself and allegorically cycle of life. It borns, grows, develops, flowers, bears fruit, reproduces and we can say that in winter "sleeps" so to start with the activity in the next spring. Many trees complete the life cycle once and once again each year with its branches, its leaves, its flowers and its fruits. They are the deciduous trees, and, the four stations, the responsibles of its vital cycle.
Cwic, the tree of the 4 stations, is a deciduous tree. It is alive and with a small help from yourself can go through all the seasons, the seasons with Cwic. In winter you can cover it with snow, so it hibernates and does not have cold (for strange that may seem). Little by little, as the srping approaches, you can make the snow fall and may small flowers born. And as the spring passes by, if you add green leaves, its branches will be full of life. With the arrival of the summer, the flowers become fruits over the green leaves. And in autumn, the fruits fall down and the green leaves become orange. With the winds and the rain of the autumn, the tree will lose all its foliage and this way, it is prepare to hibernate. The last leaf in falling down, will bring the winter again.
