Tolhuijs is a Dutch Design brand from Amsterdam, based on the core values of sustainability, social impact and splendid design. On addition to advising business on sustainable design, Toluhuijs offers its own line of upcycled furniture and sustainable interior design products.
They gather their raw materials from factories that would otherwise just dispose of them and they upcycle them in collaboration with prisons and social workshops, producing high-quality design for your home.
Designer
Bastiaan Tolhuijs is a Dutch designer specialized in upcycling. When he was a little boy, he liked to play with the paper bin in his classroom, looking for long-lost treasures.
Years have passed since, but his fascination for giving a new life to waste materials remain, striving to show these material can be transformed into quality designer products.
