The Link is a cross between a piece of decorative wall art, and usable shelf system. The shape of the shelf unites on one side the soft and round, and on the other side, the sharp and pointy. Two poles interconnected. The shelf consists of 14 sub-elements made of laminated birch veneer individually oiled and waxed to provide the wood with a smooth and silky finish.

General description of Link shelve

The Link is a cross between a piece of decorative wall art, and usable shelf system. The shape of the shelf unites on one side the soft and round, and on the other side, the sharp and pointy. Two poles interconnected. The shelf consists of 14 sub-elements made of laminated birch veneer individually oiled and waxed to provide the wood with a smooth and silky finish. The product design is done using 3d technology. Once the basic form is found, the objective is to define the lines as a whole, maintaining the satisfactory joints between the elements. After several prototypes of persevering work the final design is defined. Waste of the original material. The edges are rounded by hand and each element is in turn sanding a machine and a hand. Mounting via brass rails.
