Inspired by the need for good rest, the Tjukurpa Bed is a unique piece designed to experience the ritual of sleep from the moment we see and touch it. Like the rest of the pieces in the collection, its structure is made of 100% solid wood and has rounded edges on all its touch-prone parts, thus guaranteeing its durability and ergonomics.
The Tjukurpa bed includes a 30cm wide folding divan, perfect to offer the possibility of having an extra seat inside our bedroom. Moreover, you can choose between versions with drawers or without drawers at the bottom.
From the origin, it is the etymology of the word aboriginal and the concept under which the collection to which the bed belongs has been created. It means the origin of the footprint they want to leave on their way as designers and furniture manufacturers, it is the essence of their brand values materialized.
The Aborigen furniture family promotes the concept of furniture for life, they are dynamic pieces, designed as elements capable of being transformed, combined and separated in order to offer multiple functions.
Aborigen seeks to transmit a connection with our past through furniture with a solid formal line and, at the same time, simple. Its objective is to transmit warmth at home through pieces with a typical character, formal and functional language.
The durability of this family is evidenced by the material in which it is made, 100% solid wood from responsibly managed forests (PEFC and FSC certification, organizations that regulate and promote the conscious exploitation of wood, mainly Spain and France), finished with a water-based stain and linseed oil without volatile carbon emissions.
Liken Wood products are alive! Wood is an incredibly noble material; it can become harder over time and acquire an increasingly unique character; the color and texture of your furniture can change over time. For this reason, we recommend giving your furniture the proper care.
For furniture and objects finished with oil.
The linseed oil we use to protect your furniture has been developed by creating a molecular bond to adhere to the surface of the wood, making it very easy to care for and maintain.
If the surface to be used cannot be cleaned within a few minutes of a liquid spill, we recommend the use of coasters or table mats, this will prolong the original appearance of your furniture.
It is not recommended to place hot items such as pots and pans on the wooden surface, this can cause severe damage.
Clean at most once a week with diluted liquid soap, applied with a soft cloth over the entire surface; once applied, wait for the surface to dry completely before using it again.
Most of the stains should disappear with periodic cleaning; however, lime, grease and rust stains may appear that can be treated with specific products. If this is the case, please contact us, and we will gladly advise you to restore the original appearance of your furniture.
To preserve your furniture over time (they can be generations!), we recommend treating them periodically (1 or 2 times a year) with maintenance oil, applied with a cloth spreading the product on all surfaces, then with a dry cloth, remove the excess oil to leave only the amount of product absorbed by the wood.
For furniture finished with water-based varnish.
Furniture finished with varnish offers more excellent resistance to stains and scratches; however, for thorough maintenance (remove significant scratches or significant damage to the surface layer), you must remove the entire layer of varnish.
The varnish that is applied completely seals the wood’s pore, minimizing to the maximum the risk of stains of water, wine, lemon, coffee and other liquids.
It is not advisable to rest hot items such as pots and pans on the wood surface, as this can cause severe damage.
To avoid scratches on the surface of the wood, it is advisable to keep it clean, remove dust periodically with a cloth with soapy water, avoid dragging hard objects on the surface, it is recommended to use coasters and trivets.
