Description

The DUNE bookshelf was inspired by various natural forms: dunes, flowing water, fractals. The winding surfaces of the shelf appear spontaneous at first glance, but in reality the wave is based on an algorithm that repeats itself after every fifth interval. The repetition is created by three elements with different shapes on both vertical and horizontal levels.

The algorithm is not computer generated but created by the designer. The shelf is based on the principle of the Flower of Life and the Golden Ratio that attracts the human eye through its ideal proportion. When designing the shelf the artist aimed to generate as little waste as possible, a goal achieved by the strategic placement of the details and the perfect fit of the arches that are cut with a joint line for both elements. DUNE can be used as a wall shelf or as a room divider.

Smaller and larger models can be produced on request. The product has been cut on the CNC workbench from high quality 12 mm birch plywood. The shelf is easy to assemble according to instructions due to a dowel system and simple pellet fittings.

In case of an import/export, you must consider that the product may be affected by taxes and duties charged by your country’s Customs Agency upon delivery of the package / s.
