The attitude of this sculptural shield is reminiscent of the starting position of a fencer, hence the name En Garde. The asymmetrical design provides an ever-changing experience all around and creates an encouraging atmosphere in the room.

With its artistic form En Garde attracts attention and inspires beauty in the viewer.En Garde is composed of 10 sub-elements made of individually oiled and waxed laminated birch veneer to provide the wood with a smooth and silky finish.

The design of the product is done using 3d technology. Once the basic shape is found, the objective is to define the lines in their entirety, maintaining satisfactory joints between the elements, and after several prototypes of persevering work the final design is defined.
The different pieces of wood are processed by milling machine generating a minimum of waste of the original material. The edges are rounded by hand and each element is in turn sanded by machine and by hand.
