ECO FRIEDLY PENDANT LAMPS
IUMI is a German brand specializing in eco-friendly pendant lamps that aim to create a cozy atmosphere and a warm and gentle environment. The lights are perfectly suited both for home and for interior design projects involving hotels, restaurants, bars and office spaces.
There is no material better known to humans than wood. For thousands of years we have worked the wood, we have built our tools and our homes from it and we have used its strength and admired its beauty. At IUMI they want to continue with the tradition, and connect with the lively character of wood, by combining their love for craft with the precision of digital design.
The lights are made from sustainably grown (FSC certified) birch plywood. The wood is laser cut and hand finished to achieve a perfect fit and the best possible finish. The colored versions of IUMI lights are hand painted with the eco friendliest natural pigments, environmentally respectful, water-repellent and child-friendly.
lights are ideally suited for energy saving light bulbs as the usually dim light of such bulbs, reflects off the wood creating a welcoming and natural effect. With the colored models, the light adopts some of the color delicately tinting the space around them.
IUMI
lamps are shipped as precut birch wood assembly kits, and delivered in a lovely hand printed box. You can put your piece together in just the time it takes for a tea to get ready. Just a little bit of love needed, no glue or screws.
All IUMI products are created in their workshop in Berlin, a small family business with a team made up of friends and neighbors. Their main goal: to oppose the monotony of industrially mass-produced furniture, and to make things that are beautiful, unique and gentle.
