La Diseñoteca's mission is making functional pieces that are durable and suit today's spaces.Their concept is the opposite of disposable furniture. La Diseñoteca's style is simple and unadorned, and their proposals aim to overcome the passage of time and trends.
The most used material in La Diseñoteca’s furniture is hardwood. As an organic material, solid wood presents irregular grain and hues and it has a spectacular warmth. To enhance all these qualities the wood is protected with oil, which at the same time lets it breath and preserves its natural texture.
"Made in Spain"
All their furniture is designed and fabricated in La Diseñoteca’s studio-workshop in Malaga. They intend to control the whole process from the first to the last stage.
La Diseñoteca is a design studio co-founded by Nick Rowan, furniture designer and maker, and Sachi Serrano, interior designer. Nick is passionate about wood working, with an innate curiosity about how things are made, and life long experience designing and making products with his hands.
Sachi graduated in Interior Design in Rhodec and has worked since then in various commercial and home projects.
