Abian, a Basque word that means "we are on the move" or "starting a new path" in Spanish, is a small family business made up of wood craftsmen and nature lovers.
Following in the footsteps of many other entrepreneurs, they turned their garage into a workshop, where they shaped their first Paulownia wooden surfboard. After eight years of hard work they decided to create their own brand.
Their work, in perfect harmony with their values and tradition, results in unique skates, longboards and surfboards, 100% sustainable and free of any toxins.
Life companions and adventure entrepreneurs, Argi and Jose began giving shape to their business ideas in their workshop in Guetaria, experimenting with the production of handplane and wooden surfboards that were gradually perfected until they found the perfect design. While Jose is mainly in charge of the elaboration and production at the carpentry level, Argi contributes his taste for design, turning Jose's handmade work into authentic collector's pieces. We met 2 people who are passionate about their work, whose main objective is to continue improving the quality of the products they create every day while improving the sustainability of the product throughout all phases of production.
