Movecho is a Portuguese-Swiss company stablished in Nelas, Portugal in 1989,aiming to entice the industry by manufacturing bespoke furniture pieces. Movecho is well known as a restless brand that intends to shake the status quo, questioning the established ideas, materials used, oiled processes and final products.

Movecho uses cork as their main material to produce their outstanding products. Cork is a bark, collected every nine years from a very special tree, the cork oak, which grows in the Mediterranean regions, most particularly in Portugal, where there is an areaof more than 720 thousand hectares of cork oak.The derivatives used by MOVECHO to produce the Cork Objects are obtained from natural cork processing procedures. They are made from the granulate resulting from the debris and waste from other processing operations, such us the wine industry.
