General description of Peak Loung chair

The tension between complexity and simplicity is what makes this lounge chair design unique. The structure of the chair might appear complex, but the overall look is stylish and streamlined. The chair consists of 26 respective sub-elements made of laminated birch veneer individually oiled and waxed to provide the wood with a smooth and silky finish. The product design is done using 3d technology. Once the basic form is found, the objective is to define the lines as a whole, maintaining the satisfactory joints between the elements. After several prototypes of persevering work the final design is defined. Waste of the original material. The edges are rounded by hand and each element is in turn sanding a machine and a hand.
