The Palawan pendant lamp is made of biodegradable, handmade bamboo.Bamboo is a strong, flexible and fast growing plant. Once cut, it easily regrows new shoots from the roots. It can be harvested in 3-5 years. A bamboo plant produces 35% more oxygen than a tree and is grown without pesticides and chemical fertilisers. Bamboo has many uses, including construction, food, fuel and clothing. The bamboo used for this lamp is grown, harvested and woven by hand in a single location in Vietnam, providing work and income for the local community. Available in 3 finishes and includes two lamps interconnected.
